These
programs are currently operating under a
"one" or "two bill"
model. The "two bill" model is
where the utility sends a bill each month
for "transporting" the energy
and the Cooperative sends a bill each month
for the power itself. Small commercial utility
electric accounts may choose to participate
in the Cooperative's "one-bill"
model. (You would get the
same utility bill you've always gotten with
the Cooperative's energy on it and you would
pay your utility company.)
A
conservative estimate of what the savings
might look like is as follows:
- National
Grid (3%)
- New
York State Electric & Gas (
5%)
- Rochester
Gas & Electric (4%)
- Con
Edison (2%)
