You can Contribute to a Hopeful Future
Free from Smog, Acid Rain and Greenhouse Gases

Renewable EnergyThe Energy Cooperative of America, a member-owned, not-for-profit, cooperative is, with support from NYSERDA, offering “renewable electricity” to commercial & residential accounts in the National Grid, Rochester Gas & Electric and NYSEG territories.

For the first time in New York State history, as a result of energy deregulation, it is now possible to support a “clean” source of energy with the many environmental and economic advantages that renewable energy sources have to offer.

This program uses National Grid, RG&E and NYSEG to do the billing, so it is very convenient. You get the same bill you’ve always gotten (with the Energy Cooperative energy on it) and you write the same check to you’ve always written.

This program is an opportunity to make your contribution to a hopeful future, free from: smog, acid rain and climate changing greenhouse gasses. By casting your “consumer vote” in support of renewable energy, you will be both creating a market demand for cleaner energy and encouraging developers to build more renewable generation facilities in New York State.

As a group, we can combine the buying power of all our members to “lead by example” in support of energy sources that do not damage the environment. Our Federal Government has decided not to support the greenhouse gas emissions target set by the Kyoto Treaty. Someone has to provide leadership on this issue. Why not us?
